Millicent Young's installation In the Silence Between is a meditative solo exhibition at the newly opened Studio Building Gallery at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park. Utilizing humble elements such as horse-hair, ceramic, lead, barbed wire and wood, Ms. Young creates quiet but powerful pieces that resonate with timeless space. A reception for the artist will be held on August 6, 4-6pm at Kaatsbaan Cultural Part Studio Building Gallery in conjunction with the outdoor Sculpture Exhibition Reception where Young also has an installation: remains - an epic artwork incorporating the poetry of Jane Hirshfield.
